Yamilet Cabral, a 25-year-old sound engineer in Santo Domingo, survived the collapse of Club Tambora because she stepped outside for a cigarette. Eleven months later, she still has the SD card from her soundboard that night — and when the families of the 218 dead start asking what really happened, Yami must decide whether the recording she has been afraid to play is grief, evidence, or both.
