When fuel prices crush the small taxi cooperative her family has supplied for thirty years, 24-year-old mechanic Mariana Solano sets out to convert her brother's gasoline-powered Hiace into Turrialba's first electric collectivo. Standing against her father's stubborn faith in carburetors, the gas-station boss who controls every taxi route up the volcano, and her own fear of looking foolish in a town where everyone watched her grow up, Mariana must prove that the future doesn't have to be loud to be powerful.
